Celebrities and Their Famous Frenchies

What if you had something big in common with your favorite celebrity?

For dog lovers, there is nothing quite like a French bulldog. And even the biggest celebrities have discovered how heartwarming these little dogs can be!

Which celebs are we talking about? Keep reading to learn which celebrities have famous Frenchies of their own.

Carrie Fisher

Carrie Fisher was one of the most iconic lovers of Frenchies in Hollywood. She tragically passed away, but her memory lives on in the ongoing Star Wars franchise.

As for her French bulldog, Gary (full name: Gary Fisher), he will always have his own place in that galaxy far, far away. Thanks to a bit of CGI wizardry, Gary has a cameo as an alien in Star Wars: The Last Jedi

And as for Gary, he’s currently living a very comfortable life with Carrie Fisher’s assistant Corby McCoin.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are the modern day celebrity couple. They love to make a splash on social media, especially when it comes to flaunting their Frenchies.

How serious are they about dogs? Let’s just say that John has helped to officiate a doggy wedding. As for Chrissy, she has the self-appointed title of “ultimate dog mom.”

While some readers may dispute that title, none can dispute how cute their dogs look!

David Beckham

David Beckham and his wife Victoria are another couple on this list. And this power couple has a very powerful love for French bulldogs!

Their newest dog is a Frenchie named Scarlet. And Scarlet has become fast friends with their original dog: an English bulldog named Coco.

Somehow, it seems appropriate that the Beckhams would be working at creating their own European Union of bulldogs.

Dwayne ”The Rock” Johnson

Dwayne ”The Rock” Johnson is famous for saving people in his big, Hollywood action movies. And you might think his little Frenchie Hobbs would help give him a break from his onscreen antics.

Instead, this little Frenchie helped Johnson become a hero in real life. When he tried to save Hobbs from running into the pool! This caused “The Rock” to jump into the pool with all of his clothes on to save his little dog!

He later joked about learning that he should take his cellphone out of his pocket before jumping in the water. But we can’t blame him for making his Frenchie the highest priority! By the way The Rock got his Frenchie Hobbs right here at Poetic French Bulldogs, yah!!!!

Eli Roth

Admit it: it’s kind of funny to imagine Eli Roth with a French bulldog. After all, Roth has made a career out of making horror movies that chill viewers to their very spine.

But in real life, Roth appreciates the softer side of Frenchies. He fell in love with his Frenchie named Monkey and immediately began spoiling the dog.

How spoiled are we talking? She now sits at the table with Roth whenever he is eating dinner!

Hugh Jackman

Onscreen, Hugh Jackman is best known for playing fierce and scary characters like Wolverine in the X-Men films. He’s a much milder dude offscreen, and this helps to explain his intense love for French bulldogs.

Jackman owns a Frenchie named Dali. But what’s up with that interesting name? It’s short for “Salvador Dali,” who is Jackson’s son Oscar’s favorite artist.

By getting the family involved in the naming, Jackman was showing that he wanted the dog to fit right in with his family. And it looks like he has done a great job as a daddy to his little fur baby.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is known for taking things to the extreme. This is true of her music, and it’s certainly true of her love for Frenchies.

How many French bulldogs does Gaga have? A whopping four dogs overall! But she might not have gone so crazy if it wasn’t for her first Frenchie.

When she adopted Asia Kinney, she fell in love enough to adopt three more Frenchies. And as for Asia, she has gone on to become a social media celebrity in her own right!

Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio became famous for his roles in hit movies like The Titanic. At home, though, he’s more interested in his Frenchie Django.

Like many other celebs on this list, DiCaprio hasn’t been able to stop himself from posting his cute pooch to social media. And it’s tough not to smile at DiCaprio having a dog named “Django” after playing such a compelling villain in Django Unchained.

Reese Witherspoon

Some of the celebs are a little louder about their love of French bulldogs than others. And it doesn’t really get much louder than Reese Witherspoon!

Over on Instagram, her bio once proudly stated that she is a “bulldog lover.” Of course, that wouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who has seen Witherspoon shopping. That is because she used to take her Frenchie Pepper shopping (for designer doggie clothing, no less).

Eventually, Witherspoon decided that two Frenchies must be better than one. So she brought in a new Frenchie named Lou to help keep Pepper entertained.

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg is someone you can always count on to do the unexpected. After basically conquering the world of music, he has spent a lifetime finding cooler and cooler things to try.

He never really planned on trying to own a Frenchie, though. But when he got one as a birthday present, Snoop did what he always does: go all out!

Snoop gave the dog the name Juelz Broadus. And he wasted no time giving the dog his own account over on Instagram.
