Health
Guarantee
This French Bulldog Puppy is being sold as a pet and not for breeding.
All puppies will have a full health check prior to leaving the Seller.
Should this puppy be found to have a life-threatening congenital defect within one year from date of birth, the puppy may be refunded, upon a written and conclusive diagnosis containing the congenital defect and a description of the puppy in question from two separate veterinarians. A speculative or inconclusive diagnosis WILL NOT warrant a refund from the Seller. No Exceptions!
The Seller shall not be held responsible for the development of disqualifying faults, diseases, viruses, or disorders that are the result of Buyer’s negligence.
This guarantee does not cover common ailments, including but not limited to: Hookworms, Demodex, Hernia, Hips, Patella, Small Nares, Elongated Soft Palate, Hemivertebrae, and Cherry Eye.
The Buyer understands and agrees that NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY REASON other than those stated in this agreement.
Severe Hip Dysplasia must be confirmed via x-ray and must be graded severe. Mild dysplasia is not covered, as it cannot be definitively determined if it is genetic or environmental (e.g., trauma, excessive exercise, rough play, jumping off furniture, etc.).
Severe Spinal Abnormalities – Most French Bulldogs have at least one hemivertebra, if not more.
Refunds for spinal issues will be discussed case by case, taking into account: Quality of life, Veterinary opinion, and Whether surgery is necessary.
Please do not allow your dog to jump from high surfaces, as this can cause otherwise benign vertebrae to become symptomatic.
In the case of sudden/unexpected death, a necropsy must be performed at the Buyer’s expense. A conclusive diagnosis stating the cause of death is directly related to a congenital defect must be provided, along with the necropsy report and registration papers.
Buyer understands and agrees that the Seller is not responsible for any veterinary medical expenses incurred by the Buyer after the puppy has left the Seller’s possession.
Common puppy illnesses such as Coccidia, Giardia, and Kennel Cough are not covered in this contract, as they are treatable and not life-threatening. The Seller strongly recommends avoiding dog parks and daycares, which are common sources of disease, even for vaccinated dogs.
To preserve the validity of this health guarantee, the Buyer agrees to follow the Seller’s conservative and holistic vaccination protocol, as follows:
The Buyer agrees to limit vaccinations to core vaccines: Canine Distemper, Parvovirus, Adenovirus (Hepatitis), Rabies – Only if legally required and recommended at 6 months old minimum per Dr. Karen Becker, DVM and Seller recommends delaying until at least 18 months in French Bulldogs.
Buyer agrees the puppy will only receive a thimerosal-free killed rabies vaccine (such as Imrab 3 TF), given separately from other vaccines, at the latest safe age, with ongoing titer testing for monitoring.
The following non-core vaccines are not recommended unless absolutely necessary, based on lifestyle and veterinarian input: Leptospirosis, Bordetella, Lyme, Canine Influenza
If the Buyer administers any non-core vaccine and the dog suffers seizures or injury, no refund will be issued, as this goes against Seller’s vaccine protocol.
The Buyer agrees to: Space all vaccines a minimum of 4 weeks apart and Avoid multiple vaccines at one time, unless medically required. Administering multiple or closely spaced vaccines can lead to serious reactions.
To maintain health coverage, the Buyer must: Monitor the puppy for any adverse reactions, Inform their vet about breed-specific sensitivities, Retain detailed vaccine records, including: Vaccine name and brand, Lot or batch number and Date administered.
The Seller strongly recommends that the Buyer obtains a comprehensive pet insurance policy. Pet insurance provides financial protection in the event of unexpected veterinary expenses, including accidents, illnesses, and chronic conditions.
The Buyer understands that the costs associated with dog ownership can be substantial, especially in cases of unforeseen medical emergencies. By having appropriate pet insurance, the Buyer can mitigate the financial burden and provide the best possible care for their beloved bulldog.
It is the Buyer’s responsibility to ensure that they have adequate pet insurance coverage.
This Sales Contract is non-transferable.
If the Buyer relinquishes ownership of the dog, this contract becomes null and void.
All information submitted to the Seller for any refund consideration will be verified.
Buyer agrees to authorize the release of veterinary records to the Seller or Seller’s veterinarian for review within 72 hours of any health-related claim.
